CORPORATE HIGHLIGHTS

Turner Entertainment At Turner, I was responsible for developing a five-year interactive digital media plan to introduce Turner Entertainment brands to the Asia Pacific youth market. This resulted in creating the first ever website of its kind in that region, www.cartoonnetwork.com.au (Australia). The site was quickly expanded to other countries, including Hong Kong and India, and was ultimately ranked the number one site for kids in the region by Promax Awards. To develop the site content, I researched youth legislation and government guidelines relevant to electronic marketing, and studied Internet penetration in the region, which enabled me to devise creative tactics for presenting the brand in a compelling manner using web technology.
Yahoo! Inc. As Director of international marketing and sales development, I was placed in charge of global sales and branding for the Asia Pacific region. I identified a need for streamlining the process of selling multi-country advertising, and in an effort to fulfill that need I communicated in writing with regional directors to ask for their recommendations on functional requirements for an intranet that would achieve the goal. With their assistance, I formalized the concept and presented it at a global conference, where it was well-received. My idea was brought to fruition, and it successfully standardized rates and commissions, resolving a number of internal issues and providing an easier way to comply with client requests. Under my leadership, the region exceeded its revenue goals by 50 percent.
Mediazone Inc. As Senior Director, International Marketing, in order to support the five international video-on-demand channels, specifically the launch of the new Brasil channel, an efficient CRM infrastructure needed to be put in place. The company had received warnings from the federal government for anti-spam law infractions. I eliminated the antiquated legacy system, installed a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce.com) and took ownership of this area. I revised the privacy policy and company terms and conditions, electing to adhere to the European Union Directive of 2002 for international email communication. After successful implementation, I spread the word among all impacted staff, thereby avoiding further misuse and infractions. The new "Brasil" logo was designed and launched on-line through a series of banner ads and email marketing campaigns.
I was employed by the Skyway YMCA for six years as a Program Director, Fitness Specialist and Coordinator of international exchange programs for this corporate fitness facility in St. Paul, Minnesota. I managed over 40 staff and volunteers to manage a wide array of fitness and community programs including expansion of the Corporate Fitness, Youth and International programs at this state of the art facility. I later employed my sports physiology and teaching skills when I relocated to Hong Kong, working with Nike and various sports clubs and continue to apply these skills in my own personal training and sports competition.
